MGCB: Detroit casino revenue, September 2026 (October 13, 2026). Revenue is what the casino kept after paying winnings; it describes size, not quality. Market shares as published by the MGCB.
MGM Grand Detroit is the largest, with 47% of Detroit’s casino revenue in September 2026.
The three casinos paid $8.3 million in state gaming taxes for the month and reported $12.7 million in wagering taxes and payments to the City of Detroit.
Online casinos in Michigan: only licensed sites are legal
15 commercial and tribal operators are authorized to offer online casino games in Michigan, and 13 of them also offer online sports betting. Together they kept $288.1 million from online casino play in September 2026, up 18.4% from a year earlier. The full list of authorized platforms is on the MGCB website; our six detailed profiles are a sample, not the whole market.
Offshore sites are not a safe alternative. On October 8, 2026 the MGCB sent cease-and-desist letters to 33 offshore operators offering casino games, sweepstakes-style games or sports betting to Michigan residents without a license. Unlicensed sites do not honor Michigan’s self-exclusion list, and the regulator says it cannot help players recover deposits from them. Read the MGCB warning.
Self-exclusion and help in Michigan
The MGCB runs two self-exclusion programs: the Disassociated Persons List and the Internet Gaming and Sports Betting Responsible Gaming Database, which every licensed online operator must honor. The MGCB points Michigan residents to 1-800-GAMBLER; the national helpline is 1-800-MY-RESET, by call or text.

Try a different name or type. Some states are still awaiting research; missing records do not mean there are no casinos or that an activity is prohibited.
Coverage is a growing selection, not a census of every U.S. casino. A source-check date is when we read a publication; a report date is the age of its underlying data.
